Announced in August last year and scheduled for March 2009, Anno 1404 was postponed by Ubisoft and will be available for PC only on 26 June 2009, a month after the Wii launch.

Placed in the Far East, Anno 1404 promises to teach us everything we need to know about oriental culture and technology. As usual, we start with one ship full of supplies which we’ll have to drive to the first island on which we based the colony. The ultimate goal will be to build an empire using of course our diplomatic and strategic thinking.

As cities are developing, people will have greater needs that can be fulfilled by new conquests. For the first time in these series, we have two diametrically opposite civilizations. The differences are not only graphical but also in trade, economics and lifestyle, a contribution to the complexity of the game.
